There are many ways to treat your water. However, don’t be fooled by the myths and catch phrases of ‘no salt’ or ‘no maintenance’ systems.
When making a decision on proper water treatment, it is important to utilize a company that has been in business for at least 10 years. It is also important to do your research; like is this company a member of both their state and national Water Quality Association, do they recommend tried and true solutions, and do they have an actual building and business. You’d be surprised how many people work out of their garage selling gadgets like ‘de-scalers’ or salt-free water conditioners. True salt-free water solutions will provide either filtered water (meaning they’ll remove chlorine, pesticides, or mild sediment) or purified water (meaning they’ll remove everything, requiring membranes, storage tank, ect). You cannot have quality water via electricity or magnets. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Education is important.
Did you know that EcoWater Systems line of water softeners, conditioners, and refinersuse such a minute amount of salt, that the water entering your home has such an insignificant amount of salt that it cannot be measured? Did you know that ionic exchange has been tested and proven for over 85 years? Not all water treatment is created equal, so don’t be fooled by gimmicks that will leave a dent in your pocket book.
