Iron: The Pesty Metal

Iron in our water can really destroy our homes.  There are a few ways iron can successfully be removed your water.

When you are dealing with low levels of iron, softeners can be very effective.  BIRM (basic iron removal media) is another practical way to remove lower levels of iron.  But for this media to be most effective, the iron cannot exceed 10ppm, dissolved oxygen has to be 15% of the iron present, flow rates and water pressure also need to meet specific standards.  The great aspect of BIRM is that it requires little maintenance and needs backwashed only.  There are no chemicals needed when regenerated properly and it lasts a long time.

It is important to look for a good water treatment specialist, like All About Water, to determine what type of solution will best take care of your iron problems.

Why do I need a water softener?

There are many reasons we need a water softener.  A water softener will eliminate the stains on your fixtures, tubs, and sinks.  Hard water destroys the plumbing, leaving a permanant residue that impairs the fixture’s function.  Another reason to consider softening your water is to amount of harsh chemicals we use because of hard water.  Spot-free rinses, fabric softeners, bleaches…the list goes on and on.  You can only get your clothes, bathrooms, skin, and dishes as clean as the water will let you.

Consider All About Water - EcoWater Systems to improve your water with a state-of-the-art water softener today by calling 480-892-7556.

Copper in our water

What exactly is copper?

This natural element occurs in rock, water, soil, plants, sediment, and air.  In small amounts, copper is essential for living organisms.  But too much copper can cause nausea and vomiting and long term exposure can cause liver and kidney damage.  It is recommend by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) that we intake 1.0 -1.6 mg per day.

But if you’d like to keep it out of your drinking water, reverse osmosis is ideal.

How Can You Enjoy Quality Water?

Naturally, many people are concerned about the quality of water in their home.  After all, we not only drink the water, we bathe with it and many of our appliances need water to function.  When our water isn’t treated, it can have an unpleasant smell and taste while the minerals leave deposits on our clothes, dishes, and plumbing fixtures.

EcoWater Systems has a perfection solution:  Whole Home Water Treatment.  This will have your family enjoying cleaner, clearer water throughout your home.   This combination will provide soft, chlorine-free water for bathing and appliances while providing high quality, great tasting drinking water.
